Swindon Town have offered Nnamdi Ofoborh a new contract, as detailed on their retained list.

Swindon Town have lodged fresh terms to the midfielder along with attacker Sean McGurk.

Ofoborh, 24, joined the League Two side on a short-term deal back in March and is due to become a free agent at the end of next month.

The Robins have confirmed on their official club website that they have offered him an extension as they look to keep him on their books ahead of next season.

Swindon Town man offered deal

Keeping hold of Ofoborh would be a boost for Swindon Town this summer.

He has made seven appearances for the Wiltshire club since his switch there and has provided them with more competition and depth in the middle of the park.

The Londoner had a spell in the academy at Millwall before moving to AFC Bournemouth as a youngster in 2016.

Ofoborh went on to play five times for the Cherries’ first-team, as well as having two loan spells away in the Football League at Wycombe Wanderers to get some experience under his belt.

Rangers then lured him up to Scotland in 2021 but he didn’t play for the first-team at Ibrox and cut ties with the Glasgow giants in August last year.

Swindon Town have handed him a route back into the game and he now needs to decide whether to stay at the County Ground or try his luck finding another team.

The Robins have become one of the latest sides to publish their retained list. Charlie Austin, Tomi Adeloye, Frazer Blake-Tracey, Conor Brann, Tom Brewitt, Tom Clayton, Reece Devine, Brooklyn Genesini, Rushian Hepuburn-Murphy, George McEachran and Tyrese Shade have all been released.

Meanwhile, Dawson Devoy, Zach Elbouzedi, Harry McKirdy and Conor McCarty have gone back to their parent clubs following the expiration of their loan deals.
