Lucas Hernandez adds new layer to PSG's transfer plan

The disappointment of Paris Saint-Germain's exit from the Champions League has not distracted the club hierarchy from the belief that they are on the right path. Their new direction bringing in players with a focus on team chemistry and attempting to develop young talent is one that they will pursue.
Despite the season not yet being over, with a Coupe de France final against Olympique Lyonnais taking place at the end of the month, RMC Sport reports that the capital is beginning to prepare for the 2024/25 season – their first without Kylian Mbappé (25) in seven years – with significant investment.
PSG’s post-Mbappé transfer plan
PSG had originally been targeting four players during the summer transfer window but with the ACL injury to Lucas Hernandez (28), they will also be looking for an additional defender to cover for this loss. That means that at least two of the five recruits will be defenders as the capital looks to shore up its backline, while Les Parisiens were linked today with Victor Osimhen, Viktor Gyökeres, and Bernardo Silva.
