Newcastle United may be the richest club in the world, but they're having to be careful with their spending.
Indeed, the Magpies, just like every other club in the Premier League, have half an eye on their Profit and Sustainability situation, and they don't want to overspend.
The Premier League have shown this season that any PSR breaches will be punished, and Newcastle have to be mindful of that.
So, how can PSR rules be navigated? Well, using young academy players is certainly an effective strategy, and according to Tim Sherwood, speaking on Undr the Cosh, Newcastle have a top youngster who will save them plenty of cash.

Sherwood spoke about Lewis Miley and how he will help Newcastle.
"I think it's very important to know what's coming through. Newcastle for instance, Lewis Miley. He would never have got an opportunity, Eddie Howe is a tremendous manager who had a difficult period with injury and suspensions," Sherwood said.
"By default he's had the chance to go in there. Eddie knows he's a good player, of course he was, but he wouldn't have given him an opportunity with the Joelintons and the Bruno Guimaraes in front. He's shown he's top-draw and he's made the group a bit bigger. They need him at the moment, but you need to keep an eye on them because it will save you a few quid in the transfer market."
Lewis Miley could save Newcastle a fortune
Sherwood says that Miley could save Newcastle a few quid, but, in reality, he will save the Magpies millions.
Miley is a seriously prodigious talent, and if he goes on to fulfil his potential, he will help Newcastle save a massive amount of cash.
Signing a top midfielder these days will easily set you back £50m, but such a purchase may be unnecessary if Miley continues on this trajectory.
