The72’s writers offer their Salford City vs Bradford City prediction ahead of the League Two clash on Saturday.

Salford City head into their upcoming League Two clash with Bradford City off the back of their 1-0 away loss at AFC Wimbledon last time out. Elliot Watt and Theo Vassell were sent off against the Dons.

The Ammies are sat in 20th place in the table. They have three more fixtures left to get through this season before rebuilding in the summer transfer window.

Bradford City are six places higher than their upcoming opponents in 14th. Their scheduled game against Barrow on Tuesday was postponed.

The Bantams were victorious in their last outing though, winning 1-0 at home to Gillingham last weekend. Defender Brad Halliday, who is out of contract this summer, marked his 100th appearance with a goal.

Here, a handful of our writers make their predictions for the game…

Harry Mail

Salford City are in poor form at the moment and have lost their last three games on the spin. However, they probably have enough points to survive now anyway.

“They will be missing Theo Vassell and Elliot Watt for this weekend which is a blow as they are two key players.

Bradford City head to the Peninsula Stadium on the back of three matches without a loss. Although it has been a disappointing campaign for the Yorkshire club, I fancy them to win against the Ammies.

“Graham Alexander’s side should be too strong for his former club as they look to end this season on a high.”

James Ray

“If Bradford City weren’t so streaky, they might have been in with an outside chance of pushing for the play-offs. Nevertheless, as the season draws to a close, they look poised for a mid-table finish.

“The Bantams can still end on a high though and with Salford City up next, I reckon they’ll make it four without defeat here.

“The Ammies will be determined for the season to end. That way, attention can turn to shuffling the ranks as they look to vastly improve next time around. For this weekend though, I’ll say they’re beaten again.”

Salford City vs Bradford City prediction: 0-1
