Olympics Qualifiers: Morocco out to complete Zambia double

Morocco will battle it out with Zambia in the Olympic Games Paris 2024 qualification final round on Tuesday.

Kick-off is at 22h00 CAT.

The second-leg encounter is poised to take place at the Moulay Hassan Stadium in the capital city of Morocco, Rabat.

The Lionesses of Atlas emerged as 2-1 winners over the Copper Queens of Zambia in the first-leg match in Ndola on 5 April.

Morocco will be hoping to avoid a defeat in order to qualify for the Olympic Games for the first time by overcoming Zambia.

Rosella Ayane, who scored one of Morocco’s two goals against Zambia, will be keen to inspire her nation to another win.

Meanwhile, Zambia will be looking to overturn the deficit and qualify for their second successive Olympic Games.

Barbra Banda, who is the first woman footballer in Olympic history to score back-to-back hat tricks, will be key to the Copper Belts’ hopes of defeating Morocco.

Zambia and Morocco have met four times since 2022. The two teams have recorded two wins each.
